COVID-19 impact on pre-orders

Many of our customers have asked how we're affected by the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation worldwide, here is an update.

As of now our production is not affected. The COVID-19 is mainly a concern in the Hubei province, where our facilities are not based. We have again been in touch with our suppliers as of today (13th March 2020) and there has been given no indication of any considerate delays due to the virus.

As a safety precaution we have had to cancel our scheduled visit to China this month. While we want to go there as soon as possible to make sure everything is on track, there's just too big a concern for our health and we are not taking any unnecessary chances. As soon as the situation  betters, we are planned to go and will be updating site-wide with more information.

The only concern is a slight delay of shipping, which is a global issue for all manufacturers exporting out of China. The increased need for shipping and the additional safety measures taken at ports are expected to create some congestion. It's currently too soon to say how and if we will be affected by these delays, since shipping starts in May. As soon as there is any clear information about this, we will keep everyone updated.

Should you be concerned of the risk of contracting the corona virus from a package or products made in China?

No, you should not. Here is a statement by the Centers for Diseace Control and Prevention: In general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of COVID-19 in the United States associated with imported goods.
